Receiving Instructions (Summary)

We want to make sure your order arrives in perfect condition — and if anything ever goes wrong in transit, we want to make sure you're covered. Here's what to do the moment your shipment arrives.

1. Count & Verify Your Shipment
Before you check for damage, count the boxes or crates you received and confirm the number matches your order or packing list.

2. Inspect for Damage Right Away
Take a close look at the outer packaging for dents, punctures, tears, crushed corners, or anything that looks like rough handling. If you spot any damage at all, write "DAMAGED" on the delivery receipt before you sign.

Then snap a few photos of:

  • The damaged area of the box or crate
  • The shipping label
  • Any visible product damage, if the package is open

3. Severe Damage? You Can Refuse the Shipment
If a box or crate looks heavily damaged or compromised, you're within your rights to refuse delivery. Just write "DAMAGED" as the reason for refusal on the delivery receipt, and take photos of both the damage and the receipt showing the refusal.

4. No Signature Required (Contactless Delivery)
If your shipment arrives without needing a signature, inspect it as soon as you find it. If there's damage, take photos immediately and report it to both the freight carrier and Wings West the same day. Waiting too long to report damage can give the carrier grounds to deny the claim, so please don't delay.

5. If the Driver Won't Allow an Inspection
Some drivers won't wait around for an inspection. If that happens, go ahead and accept the shipment, but before signing write:

  • "DAMAGED"
  • "DRIVER REFUSED INSPECTION"

Then inspect the shipment as soon as the driver leaves, photograph any damage, and reach out to the freight carrier and Wings West right away if you find an issue.

6. Delivery Confirmation & Risk of Loss
Shipments are delivered to the address you provided at checkout. Once the carrier marks it as Delivered (through a delivery scan, proof of delivery, signature, or delivery photo), the shipment is officially considered delivered — and from that point on, risk of loss, theft, or damage transfers to you. So keep an eye on your delivery address and inspect your shipment as soon as it arrives.
